Year 6 |
In Year 6 the pupils have looked at personification and how to try and give things human characteristics. They have produced their own personification poems. One example can be found below and other personification poems can be found by clicking on the link. |
The Seaside The blazing circle of fire smiles happily down on his land. His twisting strands of joy skid along the waters wandering way of waves. The weeds long silky hair brushes, the giggling mermaids graceful fins. The waves strong arm tickles the sands many smiling grains. The mystical coral fidgets her long fingernails scratching as clams jerk, lying on the crawling seabed as the waves cruise by. Young, lively sea horses gallop while jeering at cowering, old mermen. As the moon paints a strong black wash over the untouched canvas of light blue sky, splattered multicoloured paint forms stars in the giant picture of harmony along the lively world of the sea. Written by a pupil in 6B.
